  • Is there more than one light being used here?

  • Only one.

The T-Rex is a 250 W scanner featuring a quad angled mirror for aggressive mid-air effects and a combined color/gobo wheel offering multiple colors and a full array of 19 gobo patterns

  • omg! only one scanner do all this effects! cool!

  • Will two of these and no other light be enough for a party with 100 people? And a smoke blower/maker (didn't know what to call it.. ). :-)

  • @cableaddict LED sucks. Well, coloured LEDs do, especially those three blue, green and red LED crappy efforts.

I don't know why manufacturers don't just use a huge white LED and have dichroic coloured glass and gobos and stuff - just like the classic designs but without the halogen bulb.

The three-coloured-LED stuff is just nasty.

  • Excellent room coverage for one unit.

  • @teamracingboys No DMX at the T-Rex . It´s only Sound-to-Light controled. I use my T-Rex for all kind of party-areas.

  • can you contol it with dmx ?

  • Thanks, Erwinismyname.

I like the tri-phase a lot, but it's not really the same. The T-Rex has larger individual points, has several circular areas that spin in opposite directions, has has a gobo changer. It's pretty amazing at filling up an entire room and not getting boring at the same time.

I wonder if there's a technical reason why this can't be done with LED's?

  • @cableaddict The American DJ Tri Phase, i think its a very similar effect, because it also has clusters moving in circles.

  • Great light, but halogen, of course.

Does anyone know of a new LED light that does something similar?

  • Wow, that has really insane spread for a light of that price.
