stuck kite on the top of a tall palm tree in Punta Chame (Panama) part 1

Two days ago, in 9/2/2009 a wind gust blew my 12 meters kite to the top of the 15 meters palm tree. The kite was stuck there (actually speared on top of it) for 2 days without anybody able to take it down until I brought a local cholo to climb the tree and try to take it off. The cholo climbed that tall tree like a monkey, ignoring all safety measures we gave him, disappeared between the branches and stood up on top of the palm tree in 20 knots winds (did I mentioned the guy was fat?) OMG, we almost died of fear... We had to deliver him a machete in order to release the kite, and there he just took off almost half the tree in order to do that! Luckily, he managed to come down safely and collect the payment: $10 and a beer. The kite is in fatal condition....
