- Vista Bootup time from PC start to desktop: 40s
- Time from dual boot menu to desktop: 24s

When Desktop is reached, it is fully responsive as demonstrated.

Running Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 with all updates (on a Vista/XP dual boot) and Windows has full functionality, including using Aero theme and sidebar gadgets - it is not crippled or artificially stripped back. This is my standard setup for everyday PC usage, gaming, etc. and does not require any further modification to run any programs (e.g. I don't have to enable any additional services or startup programs just to get things to work).

The system has been completely optimized using the TweakGuides Tweaking Companion: http://www.tweakguides.com/TGTC.html

The PC is an X2 4400+, 2GB RAM, 8800GTS 640MB with Raptor hard drives. Nothing is overclocked or modified beyond normal specs. The full System specs are here:
http://www.tweakguides.com/Hardcon_2.html#System

PS - Video is poor quality as it is from a SE W880i phone camera :)

  • Oh! Dual OS! Very good

  • fuck,my vista boots up in over 1 fucking minute

  • You speak the truth.

  • nice

  • i have vista on intel core 2 quad with 8 GB ram vista home basic and it boots up in 10 seconds.

  • You guys do realize that CPUs do not load Windows right? The hard drive does. Shame. So it really doesn't matter what kind of cpu u have.

  • my brother has a dell xps m1530. His boot up times are nearly identical to my studio's do to the fact that the specs are identical with the exception of hard drive space. His is 320gb and mine is 250gb

  • oh and the inspiron 1525 has 2 gb of ram while my studio 15 has 3 gb of ram.

  • my dell insiron 1525 with a pentium dual core processor running vista boots up in roughly 34 seconds each time without a password. My dell studio 15 with a core 2 duo processor running vista boots up in roughly 21 seconds each time without a password. Once in a while it will get like 15 seconds at the best and 23 seconds at the worst but almost every time its just under 21 seconds. 20.876 for example. I also have many programs too.

  • wats TGTC?. Thanks
