Filthy IL Animal Shelter: LET'S CLOSE IT

A recent investigative report by Fox News' Mark Saxenmeyer unearthed terrible, neglectful conditions at a so-called animal sanctuary. The Illinois Dept of Ag veterinarian, Dr. Colleen O'Keefe, however, was IMPRESSED with the shelter. Watch for yourself. A lot (not all) of your "no-kill" shelters are nothing more than animal hoarders. They DO NOT care about the quality of life. All the no-kill cares about is the quantity of life. As long as that dog or cat is not killed, we will keep it in a filthy cage until it dies. Because after all, they "saved" it from being put to sleep. So the next time you want to condemn a "kill shelter" or an open admissions shelter, think about this video!

its time to close pet rescue! they have a young child helping as a volunteer!! and there aren't many workers

I used to volunteer there. i love being with any animal. I was to clean every cage and give the animals food and water. I would go every week and the cages were so filthy. there is a trailer back behind the dumpster, there are cats in there. in the house, i didn't know there were dogs downstairs, but i did know about the ones upstairs. they were constantly in the dark. it was so horrifying.

This shelter is just plain nasty and the poor babies in it are suffering!! Shut the fucking shelter down and relocate the animals to other shelters. Why is only 10% of money made going to animals??? Isn't that what the funds are supposed to be for??? And, understaffed my ass! I work at the Woodford Humane Society in versailles, ky and WE ARE WAYYYYYYYY UNDERSTAFFED yet we keep our shelter spotless! This is plain bull!!! Shut it down for the sake of the babies in it!!!!
