  • The way that thing bounces like that. It must have spring suspension.

But good truck though. Love that sound

  • But those are the front springs though, would it really be any different if it was air ride?

  • Unless the engine was replaced, that is not a big cam. JBH trucks and most big companys used cummins' 300 formula engines. The formula engines, also called squeezers ( cuz they squeezed every drop of fuel to optimize mileage) had smaller cams and heads 1/2 the size. They were about the most popular engine on the road until Detroit came out with the electrical controlled 60 series.

  • I think you might be right i do remeber reading Formula Cummins somewhere, but shouldnt it be a Big Cam if the letters were stamped on the drivers side of the engine block? I dont know I'm just asking.

  • @priapusfudd

I have a 1990 volvo and it has a 350 BC 4 formula, all this is writen on the engine.

  • Wheres BC 4 formula written?

  • you can always tell an old JB, lol! thatframe always be painted over to get rid of the orange/redish color. Remember when JB and Schiender purchased the 9700 48" sleeper with the longer ferings to make it look like 110" sleeper? lol!

  • Love the holset whistle. Tell your dad to put some bitchin' straight pipe on there.

  • Sounds Awesome. Nice truck

  • I wana buy it :P

  • @Vista0009 It's a Big Cam just a formula model

  • @gregrory89 The whistle is the turbo in the Cummins diesel.

  • @fenderpaman16 I see a few every now and then near Houston

  • I love these flat top 9800s. If I can ever find one, I'd love to stick the cab on a longer frame, like maybe five feet longer. I only run across the high profile units with the double bunks. You have a great looking truck. I wish I had my head on straight 15 years ago, I should have bought one then. They were on the roads by the hundreds at that time.

  • real ugly truck !!!!

  • Sounds great I miss those old cabovers now they are far and few

  • why does it whistle

  • @Vista0009 i would say on the aftercooler, we have a 315 formula like that. its a low-flow bc4.
