This man you call a teacher is my life and study. Him and Carlito Bonjoc have showed me the way to a better life with a higher power. You should be proud to know these great Masters. I have been blessed to train with both of these Masters, something that people only wish for. Feel blessed that he's your teacher and try to take what knowledge you can from him.

I keep reading about 18" thru 24" weapons for Serrada. That Serrada is fast because of the shorter weapon. Carlito and I are using 28" sticks. We started with the longer sticks in the old days.

Anyone well-trained by Master Tacosa is lucky and competant. Tell your teacher Richie Li a big hello. I am sure he is good, having been trained by Jimmy. Hope to meet you both someday .Masters Jimmy and Dentoy are said to have the most combative training. But anyone following Serrada basics would be hard to beat. That is the nature of the system, combative. Although lately many of the newer students have gotten flowery. Ron Saturno

Thanks for the invite. As I stated, I have returned to Serrada training now that my teacher is back. He spent two years in Hawaii with master Tacosa and is kicking my butt! My teacher is Guro Richie Li.

Chrisarena, Carlito is great! Jaime Tacosa is also! Carlito just called me to do something with himself, myself and Jaime. I am looking forward to it. I am a 64 year old kid. been practicing under Datu Kelly Worden (NSI Modern Arnis) for the past 15 or so years, Spent some time studing the basics Tacosa Serrada under Guro Richie Li. (who left for military deployment a few years back and has just recently returned after 2 more years training with Master Tacosa in Hawaii). Since his return, I am again training and learning some of the more advanced Tacosa technique.

Filipino arts keeps me young! You guys are on a whole other level!!!
