The aria appears in both Operas....

Schhmoop, I have the same suspicion. Or perhaps instead of having "blind auditions", Mattheus just requires that only extremely attractive people may apply!
;-)

is it just me or is everyone in mattheus extraordinarily good looking? does beautiful music make you more beautiful:-)?

The interview of J-Ch Spinosi is really interesting! Thanks for uploading that video! ^^

How beautiful, Jana!!! I love the "duetto" Philippe-Spinosi... And I like what Jean-Christoph says, how he emphatizes PJ's emotion...Thanks!!!
-
He actually says "mais à chaque fois", more casual. ;)
-
he used this aria SO many times. Cause its gorgeous. Sometimes subtle word changes.

Is this note-for-note identical to the one in "Tieteberga"? (I don't have scores). I knew Vivaldi was a master recycler, but...
Spinosi's "mais chaque fois!" (at 3:31) sounds so genuine; lovely!
Thanks, Jana, for this wealth of material.
To be accurate, this aria comes from opera "Tieteberga" and not from "Giustino". The famous aria from "Giustino" is "Vedro con mio diletto".
