  • Can someone tell me what ASMR is?

  • @mosspawcat It's a tingly feeling you get on your head/back/body when watching people do something really slow or talk a certain way or whisper haha. There are a lot of variations on it.

  • if you like hair play stuff, try the foxylocksextensions channel, it's from a british girl who sells extensions and does beauty tutorials, but she has many videos where she shows and strokes hair extensions, combined with her very soothing voice (plus british accent reminds me of visualsounds), is like some not intentional asmr channel for me haha

  • @joseliness I already have all of her videos where she shows the extensions in my favorites on another channel xD haha

  • what's your favorite channel? mine is visualsounds (amazing) - but i like yours too, i also like gentlewhispering and how she's so nice to her fans i just don't like how theres so many haters going to her channel, not fair

  • @joseliness gentlewhispering and visualsounds1 are probably my two top favorites :)

  • Lovely video! Another good ASMR trigger is gum-chewing while whispering. If you could do one of those, that would be great. Thanks! :)

  • Bob Ross is probably the ASMR overlord.

  • I just wanted to comment that with regard to people talking, I am on the same page with the consonants...that is where the tingles come from. Same with the camera being close in tutorials. I can't believe there is a name for this!!! I always had this and truly enjoy it!

  • @tinglesanonymous I like gentlewhispering, visualsounds, asmr love and you.

  • i like both your whispering and your soft-speaking... if i had to pick, i'd give the soft-speaking the nod--just by a hair! (it varies for me by the speaker:))...

  • Lauren, this was a great video and I'm so glad you mentioned how elderly people triggered your ASMR. I thought I was the only one who got ASMR from watching them.

  • Great video. You have such a nice, soothing but well articulated voice- I love the feather- I was just thinking about using a feather in a video!!!!! I LOL'd at how you say you overwatch videos. I TOTALLY do this too. I've totally burned out visualsounds makeover video, plus a host of others.

I prefer whispering over soft speaking, personally.

  • I've experienced ASMR since I was a child. There was a canadian childrens show called Size Small, and the main actress had a soft spoken voice and did crafts for children, and while I had no idea why I loved watching it for the tingles. Fast forward 20 some years and I found myself browsing youtube for videos that triggered it, and it's only within the past few months I discovered the name and that there are ASMR dedicated channels.
