ok well sry i see training differently no matter how many ppl iv been taught by ppl in my area that fight with blunt real swords and my deal is no matter what always formation lol plus i would love to just go and fuck around like that it does look preaty fun lol i got to give it a try some time is there any dragorhir around New Mexico???

deoblo, we just don't have enough people playing there to make any decent kind of formation.
SCA is all about honour and tactics. Dagorhir, that just doesn't matter It's all just about charging into their shield walls and taking as many of them down as you can, before you get pulverised

I'm pretty sure the thing that keeps me from saying it looks fun is seeing how so many of these people seem genuinely afraid of being hurt by a piece of foam.

Here is a better idea... get real battle ready weapons and pick a culture to fully dedicate yourself too, and use the traditions of that culture for your events!

Or better yet... pay homage to an author worthy of recognition for a vision and have some fun. Seems to have worked since the 1970's for Dagorhir.
