  • There's a difference between an entertainer and an artist. Now there's no question that Jackson Browne is one of the finest poets of the last 100 years but, I'll tell you- I also think it is his artistry as a performer that makes him one of the greats.

Watch him perform any of his songs. You never catch him performing. He's just a beautiful man telling true stories.

  • I'm in college, and although i'm not old enough to truly appreciate this whole album, Jackson has gotten me through school; the good times and the bad. God Bless JB and David Lindley....Two of the most Talented musicians I have ever listened to.

  • He gives himself in his songs. He is not a performer in my mind, he is a giver of his music...That's not to say I don't love performers- he is great on stage- but it is something more powerful, more giving. Thanks JB- I absolutely adore you and always have.

  • Flawless

  • @MegaKat1978 You have awesome taste....some of my all-time favs too!

  • @MiSargent8 Very true!

  • @laswilliam You could not be more right, sir.

  • I saw Jackson do a solo acoustic show in 2002. I was so impressed with his acoustic sound, I got home that night and bought a vintage Gibson J45 on eBay, After 6 months of NOT sounding like him, I sold the guitar.

I met Jackson 2 years later at a private event and he told me about his Roy Smeck Gibson which he is playing in this and many other videos. He said this guitar, combined with custom pickup + double drop D tuning gave him this great sound. Thanks for sharing JB. :-)

  • AWESOME....just AWESOME!!! Absoultely one of the GREAT Storyteller/Poets along with James Taylor AND the Late GREAT Dan Fogelberg...my personal favorite!! Thanks so much for posting this....

  • i think jb's passion elicits the like response in his listeners, and isn't that the definition and point of art in any form? words fail....

  • @MiSargent8 Good stuff... truly powerful music with a deep lyrical message can get people through just about anything.
