Nice video on the basics of what it means to be a 'shaman'. I've been researching this ancient spiritual-cultural phenomenon and am fascinated by the little known female origins of this practice. I have learned much from authors like Barbara Tedlock and Max Dashu. The very word shaman originates from the Chukchi people of northeastern Siberia but very few know that most Chukchi shaman are women or that they have an old saying that 'woman by nature is a shaman'. A pity this is not commonly known!
