I created this video to show you how to setup the Dynamo Kit from Cantitoe Road. I tried my best to keep the video under 10 minutes. You can view all the Cantitoe Road bicycle dynamo kits here http://bit.ly/ayLehx

  • id rather use a 9.6volt rc car battery for the lights

  • @CrazFilmz Cool man. I have a friend the has the Cyclops C18MIL-FE Thor X Colossus (and replaced the stock bulbs with two Seoul H4 55 watt 6000K Xenon HID bulbs -- talk about sun beams in the middle of the night) mounted to his bike, weights like a ton. Total maniac that guy.

For me personally, if I'm going to get around under my own power, I want to light the night under my own power.

    Just personal preferances...

  • Which one is better: The Generator Hub or This dynamo that can attach to the wheel... reply ASAP pls

  • @uSee218 The short answer: It's all up to personal preference and your wallet. Abridged answer, full answer is too long for YouTube comments: Side Running Dynamo * Cheaper * Light weight * Disengage to stop producing electricity and reduce drag * Easy to install * Hangs off side of your bike, can get knocked around Hub Dynamo * Is vastly more expensive * Heavy, always creates drag * Self contained, very low maintenance for you * Lights need on/off switches (more expensive)
  • On which side dynamo? Those on the film is on the right? PLEASE Answer!

  • @Jackziom it is on the left, opposite side from the chain.

  • Where can I buy an fb bracket just by itself?

  • Yep, HUB dynamo have more advantages than bottle dynamo. But it is more expensive, havier, and you can not turn it off from wheel if you want. SON hub dynamos are the best in my opinion, axa basta accessories are very good quality-because they are made in Europe, not China. Even the BM accessories (lamps, dynamos, others) are excellent too!

  • @metro2002

Hub Dynamos are pretty cool, and more expensive.

The HR Traction Control dynamo in this video has a special rubber running wheel and gets great grip in the rain and the cold. It can run on the side of the wheel or tire. I have it setup on two bikes, and it works great in both positions during heavy rain.

We use to sell the Basta Quatro Dynamo but it wasn't very good in the rain, and only for a few dollars more you can get the HR Traction, which has fantastic performance.

  • Dynamo powered lights still rule. Only a bit tricky when wet. hub dynamos are better imho but more expensive.
