Penang Free School - Teenagers 'play' The King And I 'on Stage'

PENANG, 4 July 2010, students from Penang Free School build up their talents on stage at Dewan Sri Pinang attended by T.Y.T Yang Dipertua Negeri Pulau Pinang. Their costume was so shine, storyline makes the country proud but I've never seen before a stage play last for 3 hour and 15minutes. It was my bad experience as an arts performer's look toward the young generation acting with dialogue, there is no feel at all. Anyway, learn form the past and step to the future with no 'SARS.' Some of the dialogue not so important to voice out better not to let audiences hear as we all will get bored. Always focus in POW, and during the gaps of scene not too long and not too short as if too long, will not feed the satisfactions, if too short it's just a waste of effort. Assume that we are looking them doing rehearsal without a manuscripts. But, as young talent this is the beginning. Previous experience, for them that involve in music, arts, performing in school, soon will end up non-arts industries. Just a waste and how can Malaysia look forward young generation in arts industries? We nee them, to proof them self as a band performer in school, but end up as a national orchestra for Istana Budaya, or represent Malaysia in various concerts. And for the main role in this King And I, Anna "You got your talent spikes the audience" do hope after STPM, you all will look the real world to be and not to be yourself or being force to further studies in the field that not suits your inner feel? Everyone has their talents, is juts to be in a real arts industries, or not? All is in your hand. Business, Accounting, marketing, science, food, admin all already took by the seniors, why not those who love 'Arts' (Not drawing) but real art's world in acting, performing on stage, concerts, musician, represent Malaysia in various concerts or become a dancer, writer or filming industries? do check this out at
