  • @WebSurfing1ish Well said!

  • Ask the folks out in NovaScotia how they felt last July when the NDP Gov't slumped them over the dishwasher and bumped their already existing HST from 13% to 15%.

Sure, it's a Provincial NDP matter....but they're all from the same pack. How else is Jack gonna swing his 70 billion in spending

  • hey layton, how can you do this when taxes are ILLEGAL?

  • Neither BC or Ont would need an HST if they hand been able to manage thier affairs and buget properly. A PST then would have not been needed.

Bottom line, the fault of the HST lays at the feet of those provinces that could not control their spending.

Quit spending money you do not have and you would not need a PST and in turn the HST.

Get a grip people and place the blame where it really lays. At the feet of your elected provincial leaders.

  • @WebSurfing1ish My god! This "Talaban Jack" scares me! Canadians want honesty in a leader--not a guy that went to a private health clinic or lived in publicly subsidized housing while the houseless were dying on the streets of Toronto!

    Just an unbias observation....

  • @WebSurfing1ish I'm not even sure if he got more than 35% of votes, in some places he is very unpopular, like in Québec.

  • This Stephen Harper Guy is Prime Minister of Canada, shame on Canadians for voting him in.

  • There is no doubt that the HST would not have been accepted or indeed implemented without the BILLIONS of borrowed tax dollars Mr. Harper offered to BC & ONT. in their hour of need. For him to say this was a Provincial undertaking is a half truth at best. This is the level of truth we have come to expect from the Conservative Party of Canada but we need not accept it. Harper Owns The HST!
