This is true

Too true. I love the fast paced learning. 8 weeks go by freaking fast. One minute I'm reading the course syllabus, next thing you know, it's time for finals. Freaking insane.. but it's so damn rewarding. I love the format of the classrooms.

Ofcourse, if you graduated with a low gpa, nothing in your portfolio to brag about, during a time when unemployment is generally increasing or when the demand for employees in your industry is low, you may not get a job within the first month of graduating. That has NOTHING to do with a DeVry degree. Also, every university has lawsuits and complaints and DeVry is regionally accredited just like state colleges. Try taking ENGL135 at DeVry to prepare you for your next argumentative post. ; )

There aren't any degrees at DeVry that cost $100,000. Your tuition including activity and technical fees is around $60 -70,000. Use that $40,000 to buy yourself something nice. BTW, I know this because I work there (DeVry Orlando)
Are they any non-for-profit colleges or universities who will except transferrable credit hours from a for-profit school, like DeVry, at all? Also, what are the six-year graduation rates from DeVry University verses academically comparable Tier 1 or Tier 2 NP schools?

@6ft7inHIBread Yes because DeVry is SACC accredited but each course is evaluated on a course by course basis for example Algebra is not going to transfer for Calculus.
I have no idea on the six year graduation rates you would have to ask someone that works there.
I am just a DeVry graduate and I would highly recommend the school.

LOL, listen to all you people trying to defend your Devry degree. I graduated from UC Irvine, and trust me, I don't have to defend my degree to anybody. But in all seriousness, why get a degree in electronics engineering technology from Devry, when you can get a real electronics engineering degree from, say, Penn State, or UC Irvine? When you graduate from Devry, you're a lowly "tech", while when you graduate from a real school, you're an "engineer." Enough said.

@waterman1976 Good point but schools like UC Irvine have just as many bad apples as any other college. You can graduate from any college and still no idea how to be an engineer
