Built as a cross between a "Marshall 18" and a JTM45, this pedal was designed to sound and react eerily similar to the famed Marshall Amp. Includes a switch that enables it to sound great with either clean sparkly amps (like fender twins, Vox, etc.) to darker beefier amps (like Vintage Marshalls, Mesa Boogies, etc)

Equipment used: Agile Les Paul, Bassman Reissue into Marshall 1960A Cabinet with Warehouse Speakers 'Green Berets' (which are celestion greenback clones).

  • does this pedal react like tube amp, like when you turn the down the volume on the guitar it cleans the sound up? :)

  • @APortlyNinja It certainly does, that was a major consideration when designing it. It really cleans up without loss of tone :)

  • I'm on the market for either a wampler plexidrive or paisley drive. Can I achieve plexidrive tones with the paisley drive ? It seems a more versatile pedal to me and it's hard to hear the difference on youtube. I only play single coils. Thanks !

  • @rioolput123 Not really, the sounds are completely different. The Paisley is more like a turbo charged VOX, or a Dr Z. It doesn't really have that Marshall sound. Sorry.

  • @wampcat Ok thanks ! I think I'm going for the Plexidrive. Later on I'll maybe buy a Paisley to fit my tele. Appreciate the feedback ! Cheers

  • @rioolput123 My pleasure, glad to be of help :)

  • @steelwizard We do a talent Booster pedal which is a JFET booster, it will push this pedal further and further, there is a a few demos on YouTube, take a look..!

  • I wonder how well pedals like this work together with boosters? Like putting a Tubescreamer, a Treblebooster or a MXR Distortion+ in front of it.

  • That's a really nice tone sir! The Jailbreak riff in the beginning sounds great, not like Mal on the orginal recording but much of his tone in later years. Cheers from Sweden - Jonas

  • I think wampler's pedals are a bit overpriced but boy do they sound good.
