GE Microwave Repaired -- TCO of JVM1740DM1WW -- Saved 400 dollars

I'm only showing the straight path. Actually it took me a long time, and I even bought the wrong parts and spent more than 8 bucks. But... it's okay... If I can help someone, that's fine.

My microwave looks almost exactly like yours; leave it to GE and others for this example of 'planned obsolescence'. I located the TCO near the first one you checked and it was bad. Found your video when I was googling TCO. Keep up the good work! I hate it when manufacturers try to screw over the consumer!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I found my bad TCO very easily. Mine was pretty obvious as it was right on top and the wires were FRIED! GE should put the word out on their own if they are havng so many problems with these parts. Thanks again.

Thanks. I had the same problem. I was testing my way through the schematic and found the t.c.o.'s on there. But I wasn't sure where they were. Looked online for some kind of physical representation and up popped your vid. It was the same one on top. I just jumped it for now while I search for one. I'll just keep a watch to make sure it don't burn the house down :)

Hey man that was a good job. I have the same microwave, but the problem i have is that it wont heat the food. Can you please tell me how the Capacitor and Diode are hooked up.
