Sensorium (eeeteee No Grunt Symphonic Edit) - Epica

An unofficial No Grunt Edit Symphonic Version of an Epica masterpiece. This was generated using SoundForge and MuVee autoProducer in an attempt to remove/replace grunts whenever possible (sorry Mark!). I made this for symphonic metal fans who are on the fence with the dark metal grunts.

Epica, please edit/release two official versions of your albums ... one symphonic/dark metal and one symphonic metal to appeal to both camps and it will definitely extend your fan base.

Grunts are fine ... but they have released no grunt alternate versions in the past ... Let the controversy begin ...

Epica will not be without Mark and his Grunts, Cause Epica Grunts are very distinctive.

Simon has been losing a lot of songs that do not like to sing well.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that they utilised 'grunts' as a way of marking them apart from Nightwish.

Without them they would sound more 'mainstream' - but wouldn't that improve their popularity?! Yes?/No?

If they're prepared to release 'no-grunt' versions themselves, then they're obviously reacting to some backlash...

i do believe a well done grunt is BEAUTIFUL however a ballad version is just as lovely and they dont have to be the same my problem with most grunters is they sound like they have a cat stuck in their throat! but epica is good both ways and i dont mind and obviously the band dont either cause they did some no grunt versions themselves!

wow my reaction at listening to this song really amazed me. When I started to listen to Epica I just dealed with the grunts as a price to pay for the beautiful music and simone's beautiful voice, but now that i heard this version I really feel that something is missing... I thought I was going to like this one better... Well now I understand the position of Epica fans that support the beautiful female vocals/death grunts duality and complementation of each other :P

Hm... Mark is not really the best grunter out there imo, and I am not like "there must be grunts or else" or anything like that... but this vid convinced me that the "antitheses"-part (or whatever it's called) with the grunts/oboe dóes seem to provide this song with a bit of very important spicing: I like this version less then the original, and that kind of surprised me.

So thanks for uploading NGE, this actually had educational value :)

Because of the grunts i must take this song to Gothic Metal in my mp3^^ lol for me it doesnt matter if there were grunts or not but nice alternative version of the songs but i do not like to delete the grunt better to place a clear male voice instead
