Founded in 2008, Mambis Agroforestry Nursery Project in Papua New Guinea's Enga Province, is leading the way to a more environmentally sustainable future. Deforestation has caused many problems in the region including erosion, deadly landslides, loss of topsoil fertility, lack of fuel and timber wood, and more. The project's Director, Peter Sambak Tanda, has already planted thousands of young trees and is not only educating his neighbors about environmental stewardship, he's demonstrating it.

  • I wonder if we can exchange some experience. We work under tropical rainforest conditions, but your experience would be interesting for us. See our videos, maybe this is something interesting for you too. Thanks for all the information you have on your videos. Greetings - Chilis from the forest - DaMata - Brasil

  • Jared Diamond introduced me to New Guinea being the birthplace of permaculture. Your work is very important. The integrity of this ecosystem and culture is very important.
