It's sad that it takes Ford 3 more camshafts, higher compression, an aluminum block, and a 500 pound weight difference to barely keep up with a so called inferior "pushrod" design. Next thing you know Ford is going to have to strap 2 turbos on a DOHC powerplant to their supercar to keep up with the Viper.

its kinda sad that dodge has to make an engine 392 ci which is aboiut 90 cubic inches bigger just to compete with ford 302.... yay dodge next thing u know dodge gonna be making a 420 ci+ to compete with fords 300ci somthing in the future..

@russnord should be faster but each 100 lbs is a tenth slower. so 3600 lbs stang vs a 4200 lbs tuna boat.. hmmmm math does the solving. plus we don't know if this challenger has a six speed or the slowtamatic in it.

@TheNorburg Thats the point of a race dude. a lighter car with slightly less hp or CI can have an advantage over a heavier car with a little more hp. Even though the mustang got an early start it could have went to either of them. Also whats with calling me an idiot? Its not like you own the car and your taking offense, and if you are than obviously you got some issues if you cant take some criticism. Either way I am a big fan of both cars and I hope to see one of these challengers in person. :)
