http://www.ehow.com/how_7555682_fix-jack-using-100k-resistor.html MagicJack Caller Id Fix. A female to female coupling, 12 inch phone line, and a 100k ohm resistor. Parts from walmart and radioshack cost around $8. Put resistor across red wire and green wire. Simple as that. If that single one doesnt work, put another one in series with it.

  • Read the discription, put across red and green wire, make sure the resistor will not short across anything else. Ive had two people, in the last two weeks with problems with this, in the last two years ive only had two people. What are you guys doing?

  • It doesn't turn on any more.

  • @YNKLJR did you put the 100k across the red and green wire? 1,000s of people online have done this, with sucess!

  • It doesn't turn on any more.

  • @jmejia19871 You must have done something wrong, all you have to do is put the resistor across the red and green wire, perhaps maybe I should have said a pin layout, due to different companies that make it. I have made several of these and yet have had any issues.

  • @TastyTacoBoy does caller id work? Might be something different with the colors from mine to yours. I dont have this connection box anymore but a google search will help you out. Good Luck!

  • If I do this, my phone doesn't ring. But I do have dialtone.

  • Thanks for sharing that fix, my caller ID works with some cordless phones but not others and the one that doesnt work is almost the same make and model as the one you have in the video. im going to just put the resister in the phone base so I dont need to carry an adapter when I head out on the road :)
