Just bought an older Jamis Dakota (1992/93/not sure $40). I want to put new rims on. Can I save the rear cassette and spokes and replace the rims? Any help appreciated. 8D

I've built maybe 5 wheels now, over 4 years, and I always have this on in the background to see me right.
I'm gonna go right ahead and say, this guide works for any amount of spoke holes, so long as you're all set for 3-cross lacing. I've just finished a 32 hole wheel now, in fact!

Your "just behind" on side two proved to be a pitfall for me lacing a 32 spoke MTB rim... I went the wrong way, but didn't find out before completing step3... The wrongly laced spokes suddenly seemed too long! Start over!!!
