This video shows you a technique which allows you to create a UV reference for Zbrush allowing you to use the native 2d painting tools in Zbrush. It's an odd technique and probably not suitable for everyone. Still you may find it useful.

  • man i can do that in photoshop as well... lol........ is there a way to see in real time 3d model and painting directly texture to that models uV map by painting on model.

  • @r4jk3 Yes, I know. It IS meant to be a unique way of using UV space in Zbrush. I know that it can be done in Photoshop but that wasn't the point. Anyway, I think that now you can unwrap your model in Zbrush but I'm not sure if you can paint on it or work on a higher subdivision version unwrapped.
