I'd love to see you try. But aside from that, if you ever have the good fortune to stand in front of a Lawren Harris painting and soak it in, then perhaps you might begin to appreciate its value.

There are always people who come to these sites and say they could do better...well , then do so. Making the claim you are better than an artist like Harris is just hollow bragging and sour grapes.

$3,5M for a painting that could I could have surpassed in drawing as a child. I don't know if that's ridiculous, or merely indicative of the higher prices that my work would command.
There is a Buyer's Premium when works are sold through auction that is included in the price realized. Thus the price realized is greater than the hammer price.
