MAC was one of the first to address Black women's needs semi-well. I didn't want my mom's greasy heavy Fashion Fair pancake makeup and I didn't want to fool with drugstore foundation I couldn't try on.

I still love their shadows (cheaper dupes usually lack pigment strength) but I've moved on from their foundations because overall they are too pink and there are now better options.

It's just a brand. Period. I use what works, leave the rest and don't make it more important than it is.

You are so right. Mac is just like any other line they have hit and misses as well, you can find good products and bad products from their colections. Usually, the higher end products do have better pigmentation however, Ive used cheap brands such as my 120 palette, Elf, Nyx, Sephora, etc and have gotten great results. There are other brands to use other than the higher ends such as Mac, YSL, Dior, Bobby Brown, etc

I just prefer other brands. YSL, Lancome, Jemma Kidd, Burberry, Maybelline are all I have in my makeup collection, no MAC.

I think Maybelline eye shadows and NYX eye shadow singles are just as good as MAC eye shadows!

I love MAC blushes and Lip products and eyeshadows. I seriously and I mean seriously hate MAC foundations. They always break me out. ugh

About that mac boycott.. I don't get it instead od boyotting mac y wasn't este lauder being boycotted.. they were the ones who changed the formulas..

I loved Black Opal. Walmart stopped carring in my area. I have never used MAC. I will find what I like reguardless. I'm simply not caught up in brands at all! I love your videos cause you like what you like. Referrals are a base for you starting your own thing. So I thank you for your suggestion no matter what the product. I hate MAC too. Their lipsticks stink and they are cheap.

The first foundation I bought was MAC mineralize satinfinish. People say to me sometimes why do you buy it, it's so expensive, you could get one for €10 that does the same thing, and i'm sure I could, but it worked for me from the start, and I like the way it looks on my skin,so i'm not going to try every other brand just to get a cheaper one! MAC eyeshadows stay on forever, especially since I don't have oily eyelids, and everything I buy works for me, so maybe it suits my skin, i'll never know!
