Personaly I like my own distro based on SuomiKnoppix(I know. I am huge computer nerd.) but my favorite part in ubuntu is the ease of use. In my on distro which is customized to work on very low resources (32 MB ram and still completely usable with my favorite WM lesstif MWM) so I have to hand mount all of my USB sticks, edit config files with vim and install programs using apt-get. In ubuntu it just works.

Synaptic really is great. I love it. Check out save marking in the package manager. You can save all the programs youve got installed in a single file. You can import the list into a different computer and reinstall the whole setup in a single click. Awesome!

Hi, I like openSUSE more than ubuntu because it was created by a German computer company called Suse GmbH and was bought several years ago by Novell. You can install many window manager at once. Thats really cool KDE3, KDE4, gnome all at one time and you can change the default window manager easly.
The new zypper manager is real fast in the new version. Opensuse 11 is coming out this week. Check it out.
On ubuntu I like it was done on the debian project. Debian is also a really cool Linux.

yeah opensuse is cool but it says my wireless card in not connected and u can install multiple desktop managers in ubuntu too and change them easily

This is fixed in the gm because many wireless card drivers have no opensource linux kernel driver. So you need a wlanwrapper for this. On the final version it will work I think.
Check the offical opensuse forum.
