  • Um baking soda bleaches teeth. That's what your expensive and chemical laden "whitening" toothpaste. In addition, peroxide is a bleach. You can use it to bleach your clothing, make whites sparkle, etc. Its a good mouthwash (with water!), though it can be harmful in large amounts and if swallowed. Peroxide is the same major ingredient in those teeth bleaching kits. SO NO, I highly doubt his teeth or yellow.

  • My dentist says it's fine to use this mixture. I've been using it for a while now with no problems. Plus it can't be worse for you then fluoride! My daughter likes it too.

  • @hanhan1012 Fluoride IS toxic! Research it. Besides,, you're not going to drink the hydrogen peroxide.

  • @hanhan1012 Not really. It's in most teeth-whitening mouthwashes. It also says on the bottle than you can use it as a mouthwash. The important thing to remember is not to swallow it - DUH. Once it passes through your esophagus, it might just be...

  • your recipe is familiar but there is a very serious mistake that needs fixing....NEVER use plastic to make and store homemade toothpaste because the essential oils will eat through plastic. Best to use a small glass jar!

  • using baking soda on a daily basis will destoy your teeth because sodium will corrode ur teeth bone structure, its really not recommended, by me. the best solution I have found so far for least harmfull, non-fluoride products are toothpast for toddlers. These also do not contain almost no abbrasives; silica somtimes sometimes not
