why didn't you just call a truck with a small crane I would had lift that baby without a scratch! Just straight up, would had saved you a lot of work!

For anyone interested, my friends have pulled light aircraft, snowmobiles and hammered motorcycles out of worse situations than that by laying the bike on an old car hood and towing the hood up the mountain like a sled. The hood takes the beating, not the machine. It doesn't hurt to save a buck, and old car hoods are in every town junk yard.
