What model is ur Beachtek? And does it matter what model it is? Im new to mixers, got a rode mic and hv20 but it gives a hiss. So selling it and buying a M66 and Beachtek

how do you use that mike on the canon. the mike is really big. I almost poked my eye out.

and the YouTube sound has also something to do with it

Nope - no way. This is BAD audio simply due to microphone placement. The ME66 is an extremely sensitive microphone. I bet the Me66 is too far away from the subject to do it justice.

It's all there and it's clean! Though it's usually considered an ENG mic (it's expensive brother, MKH-416, is Sennheiser's 'rich' sounding movie mic) I bet it could be 'modelled' nicely with software, thus saving big bucks?!? What do you think zephyrnoid??? (by the way...thanks for these tests!)

I JUST got an HV20 and wanted to use ME66 on it - I guess I should get a beachtek. Do you dig it?
Yes. I use the Beachtek on the HV20 fulltime. Much better than direct mic connect
