USES This combination is used to help lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and raise good cholesterol (HDL) in the blood. Ezetimibe works by reducing the amount of cholesterol absorbed into your body from your diet. Simvastatin, known as a statin, works by reducing the amount of cholesterol made by the liver. Lowering bad cholesterol and raising good cholesterol help decreases the risk of heart disease, prevents strokes and heart attacks.

HOW TO USE Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once daily in the evening. Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while using this medication unless your doctor instructs you otherwise, as grapefruit can increase the amount of this medication in your bloodstream.
