John Campbell built 15mm scale Kerr Stuart live steamer - now in its proper green livery, but not yet lined out. Running on my garden railway with a historically correct train of mixed Swilly and Burtonport stock.
A nice frosty day helped with the steam effects.
A couple of short scenes at the end show the same train hauled by a couple of West Clare BoBo diesels, and then a typical Clogher Valley train hauled by the Atkinson Walker steam tractor- back to historically accurate again to finish!

  • how did u make the steamer whistle it a button?

  • It's radio controlled, like the regulator.

  • NIce one Niel! Was that a dual chime whistle?

A lot of power and traction for a small loco!

  • Hi Oskar

Yes -it's a chime whistle - uses a lot of steam as you can see.

I thought it was quite a big loco - but I suppose not compared to an LBSC Atlantic!

  • I saw this railway in Garden Railways!

  • wonderful sounding whistle!

  • Simply garden railways are their best - vg

  • Just magic!!! If ever inspration was needed for garden railwaying...

    Brava!

  • simply gorgeous Neil! A real feast of steam and sound.

  • Well the atlantic is a 3/4" scale express loco, so, it's large, but in this scale your loco is a nice robust one. I was comparing it to larger scales. Again, these are always great videos!
