Remember Beckham? I live in LA and no one ever talks about Kopi or Beckham. They're great athletes in their respective sports but Kobe owns LA.

don't compare hockey with basketball. Kobe is the best player in the NBA and Kopi is a really good hockey player but they're not the same thing. neither one is better than the other.
