Sarah Palin wants Rahm Fired for using the term "Retards" during a meeting between liberal groups and White House administration Officials. Rahm has called the Special Olympics to issue an apology. Sarah Palin has a child with down syndrome and is a supporter of those with special needs.

the time it is wrong a sin is when you are calling a mentally challenged person the name. before the term retardation they used dummy stupid idiot to describe conditions so i suppose those words are off the table as well how about crazy which described mental illness it is not OK to use name calling in heated arguments but i believe we all have done so. but most likely none of us would walk up to a mentally handicapped child & say you are a retard or to the depressed & say hello crazy.

oh fuck off. obama made a joke in bad taste. most people aren't raised to be aware of every politically sensitive issue, and they have to train themselves avoid causing offense. That doesn't mean Barrack has anything against people with special needs. And this doesn't translate into a health care argument.

I think you've analyze the situation wrong. mentally challenged people associate or are associated more with the term retard. There is no group of people that is associated with the words stupid, idiot, dummy, or crazy. Those are all loser terms that are usually applied arbitrarily. If people are complaining, like there is in this case, there is offense being taken.

That was last week. As I said he did it again on Monday, the 8th. It's like he just wants to bait her now. I don't get it.

Maybe calling American Nazis or socialists or saying they pal around with terrorists should be off limits. Even more so when you belong to the Alaskan Independence Party, that wanted to secede from the Union and who's founder was killed or blown up in an illegal explosives sale.
