A video of a medium height launch failure in an ASK-21. This was one of my 'check flights' before I was allowed to go solo. Taken at DSGC North Hill in Devon on 2/5/09.
I think the cable breaks instructors throw are quite easy, with you hand on the release you can feel them pull the bung so you can react quicker. Simulated power failures are much more realistic and can catch you out if you dont recognise them quick enough.
Mate, you knew that was coming just then or you have the reactions of Usain Bolt. That was less than half a second from instructor release to you lowering the nose!
I think it was just spam, if I'm to be honest. ;)
Very well handled, I'm impressed by a pre-solo standard of pilot that you shoved the nose into the ground that quickly after the initial "BANG". Many students wait a while, and of course, the aircraft enters the stall.

Thanks for the comment,
This was the final flight I did before my solo, so I was in the zone and focused!
