NOT A TUDORS VIDEO

See the real one (with proper music) here: http://bamvidvault.ning.com/video/the-truth-beaneath-the-rose

This is a telling of the AU version of TUFG, and my final vid as a way to say goodbye.

Finally the whole darn thing is DONE. God this took me years. Any greyscale AFTER the instrumental is a memory of the past. And the part where they're dancing "will I learn what's truly sacred" ignore henry/nakky in the back. He's not there....:P

Henry VIII - Nakago
Anne Boleyn - Robyn
Mark Smeaton - Nuriko
Babys henry Fitzroy and Elizabeth - Ryuuen
Last clip of Elizabeth/Anne towards the end, Elizabeth is Robyn and Nuriko's daughter Kourin

Basic storyline is that Robyn never discovered Nakago's deception of her, and remained in Qu-Dong. They were married and, after he takes over the country and disposes of the Emperor, they become Emperor and Empress.

But being married does nothing to change his domineering and manipulative behaviour toward her, and she slowly changes into a withdrawn and passive person, a shadow of her former self. She's constantly upset about it, but is resigned to her fate and never lets it show. But after two years of marraige, she has yet to produce an heir to the throne.

A diplomat from Hong-Nan, the celestial warrior Nuriko, arrives to begin peace talks with Nakago. He is introduced to the Empress and they feel an immediate connection. She stages a dance as part of the welcome ceremonies, and chooses him as her partner to honour their visitor.

Soon after his arrival, and much to her husband's delight, she discovers she is pregnant with their long awaited son and heir. Some months pass and, as Robyn and Nuriko become better acquainted, they discover the truth about who they really are to eachother.

She confronts Nakago, and discovers the truth. She and Nuriko flee back to Hong-Nan, with her no longer able to stand being there even for her son to be son's sake. Upon arriving in Hong-Nan she learns all about her true destiny as a priestess of Suzaku.

She starts to think about how she believed her actions before were justified, because of her love for Nakago and the hold he had over her, since she couldn;t see the real him. She asks to be forgiven for the sins she has committed.

But she keeps having dreams of the love they shared together, that are making her increasingly disturbed. She even has one about the child she once miscarried, that she told no one about, and panics. she runs to Nuriko for comfort and he tells her things will be okay.

Soon she starts becoming worried that there will be a war after her son is born, and how it will be needless bloodshed. This isn;t made any better by the fact that everyone in Hong-Nan hates her and whispers about her all the time. She's also worried Nakago will just take Ryuuen away.

But soon she starts to bleed and faints, worried she's loosing the baby. In her delerium, she sees even more of her past with Nakago, which doesn't do much to improve her addled mindset.

As she's giving birth, she feels like she's torn between the past with Nakago and the present with Nuriko. But those thoughts are pushed away when her son is finally born.

She writes to Nakago, informing him of their son's birth, and to remind him to keep his promise that Ryuuen will remain his heir. He's thinking about how much of a mess things are now, but Robyn says there is no chance of things going back to how they were because of all the pain that's been caused.

Soon after Ryuuen's birth, Robyn realizes what's truly inportant in her life now. That she loves Nuriko, and he loves her, and they want to be together. But peace like that doesn't last, because Nakago is charging up to the palace, demanding the return of his wife and son.

Robyn goes out to talk to him, but he brushes her off and she has a flashback to the time when all he wanted was to be with her. They eventually DO get inside and "talk" and she reminds him of his promise that Ryuuen will still be his heir. He yells back that he really has no choice in the matter and storms off. Robyn thinks again about how he used to love her, and feels like a fool for having not seen what was in front of her sooner.

She and Nuriko move forward in their relationship, and she becomes pregnant with his child. They are both completely thrilled, but obviously someone else is NOT.

Ryuuen realizes his destiny and, when he's old enough is officially recognized as the prince of Qu-Dong. Robyn gives birth to a daughter named Kourin, named after Nuriko's beloved sister. The four of them all live happily ever after together, the end!

(except for Nakago, he dies unlurved and alone because he's a huge jackass and nobody likes him)
