  • dont they need a cool side???

  • @ryancollins24 yes she has a cool side its about 90 in her tank i was way off in the video lol

  • not trying to hate, but I have to say for my own peace of mind.. calci sand is horrible for bearded dragons. it causes impaction and they LIKE to eat it cause they like the taste (not just juvi's), if you HAVE/WANT to use sand. consider washed childrens playsand? it's a little better

Also the mercury vapor bulbs (powersun etc) DO have a min range, I think it's around 12"?, you may want to check into it.

safe temps are 95-110, some adults like it even cooler.

nice vid tho, and Ember is cute!

  • @Caltrat3 id have to disagree but thanks

  • @Caltrat3 ive been using calci sand for the past 2 years and i have had no problems what so ever, my beardie is strong, colourful and healthy, and the powersun bulbs have alot longer range than 12 inches, this is a great set up..

  • @Armylad2k10 see thank you

  • @Armylad2k10 I'm not saying they only work up to 12 inches, I was saying the minimum distance AWAY is 12 inches, horizontal basking sites lower the risks, as they aren't forced to stare into the light constantly while basking.. and at the end of the day it's his pet and he's obviously allowed to do whatever he wants. I was just saying it for my own peace of mind.

calci-sand, we'll agree to disagree. I've seen too many xrays proving it.

and his setup does "look" great, never said otherwise.

  • @quadsrockass No problem pal, dont listen to the haters they dont know shit!

  • How is your dragon surviving??

  • No offense buddy but sand is bad for dragons especially babies they can get impacted which means a blockiage in the digestive system. Very deadly
