Sehr schöne Idee, Geige und Trompete hier zusammen einzusetzen! Ich war zwar dieses Jahr in Leipzig, aber leider hab ichs nicht in St Nicholai geschafft... Es hätte sich anscheinend gelohnt, auch wenn ich mich mit dem Porsche Design des Spieltischs einfach nicht anfreunden kann...Dafür ist die Orgel zu geschichtsträchtig, als dass man ihr so etwas verpassen konnte. Andererseits darf man sich nicht beklagen wenn man es schafft einen Sponsor für eine Orgel zu finden :)

Lets get real here......1] its not in any sense a baroque trumpet, its a modern valve trumpet and 2]the ornaments are quite rediculous and add nothing to the music.3]the fact that you got to play in one of Bach's churches is quite beyond belief with such a performance. Word have meanings...... you might pull the wool over the eyes of the ignorant, but not of discerning people.

This piece was known for many, many years under the title 'Trumpet Voluntary' and (incorrectly) attributed to Purcell.
It was actually written around 1700 by a British composer named Jeremiah Clarke as 'The Prince of Denmark's March'.
