personally, if i was a french fan of gojira watching them play in france, i would be fairly annoyed that they're singing in English. all my fellow frenchmen and I would be like "WTF is he on about?"

@allnightdwight, If Gojira would sing in french, they wouldn't be touching the whole world as they do. And that was their interest since the beginning. Plus, french language is less "singable", it's hard to explain that, you have to be french to understand i guess. Personally, i don't listen to any metal bands which sings in french. And about the meaning of the lyrics, being french is not a problem ! If you're a real fan, then you'll do what you have to do to understand.

@allnightdwight For french bands, even with english lyrics, it's really hard to export their music. So i can't imagine if they sing in french... Gojira exists since 1996, they worked very very hard to play in the USA which happened only in 2006. Metal is so boycotted here in France, Gojira got their success by the price of lots of sacrifices according to Joe himself. I guess that when you are a french metal band, talent is not enough to be known.

Finally Roadrunner made a great decision and signed this amazing band. The whole world is about to know who GOJIRA is and how awesome they are. If this new album is as good as The Way Of All Flesh we are in for a real treat

@DjoZef mate I dont think you need to be french to get that I think you just need to understand languages. I study Spanish and i get what you mean without being French.

@DjoZef No no no....Gojira is not Rammstein, totally agree with you, the french is not as hard as the english, has way less impact within the song, in the lyrics. Works with the gal from Eths, but is not a proper election for a guy with the vocal strengh of Joe Duplantier.
