Elder Arsenie talks about humbleness, sacrifice and suffering. Spiritual son of Elder Cleopa, (born on August 13th, 1914), in prison on and off for over 12 years between 1938 and 1964, one of the greatest Romanian Elders of our days.

Dragul meu, dar limba asta romana cu ce ti-a gresit?

  • All the stuff the second monk said though semed highly inspired by man and not by the Holy spirit

  • @gnawaserge

hmmm, second monk? where? watch again, there is only Elder Arsenie. Not much in common with protestantism I'm afraid...

Va multumim si noi pentru cuvintele frumoase. Cea mai mare bucurie este cand cineva se foloseste de aceasta munca.

  • Wow, the wisdom of the Elder really blew me away, especially his reminder that love, true love, is sacrificial, a dying to self, an emptying out of selfish and self-centered desires. And his use of the miracle of the storm at sea and the fear of the apostles resonates very deeply with me. How often I seek the kingdom and the crown, but flee the cross. Thanks for posting. What a great man!

  • Wow i am fascinated by the knowledge this mok has. So far up to minute three. It is right on dot with every deep thing i have learned in my Evangelical protestant Reformation inspired faith! this is deep

  • Our Blessed Father Arsenie has gone to the Lord ! REJOICE my brothers, rejoice for our dear father, for he has finally found reward for his many, many sufferings and persecutions in the name of Christ ! May his gentle soul find rest in the arms of the Lord whom he loved more than life itself. Amen !

  • I really need to hera that lately. I think struggle is exactly what he says. If a chrysalis doesnt struggle and someone releases him of it, they die. If the natural struggle is allowed to take place a beautiful butterfly emerges. Struggle is part of our salvation.EVERYTHING he says here is so important to understand.

ALso when we lack God, we lack self identity and whyen we lack identity we lack meaning/purpose in life. God Bless for the post and the priest :)

  • Thanx for the subtitles otherwise wisdom like this would be lost - these are very powerful words indeed.
