My King, it's possible to know the best solution to repair the MX5 NB 6 speed gear sluggisness

Gratitude for the tutorial, o mighty King. Pray tell, should one's 6-speed suffer from a loose bracket caused by those insolent bolts, how doth one tighten this bracket? Locktite? A new bracket? We bow before thy mastery of the Miata realm.

Very helpful with overhauling my shift box. Unrelated question. I replaced my spark plug wires and crossed two incorrectly which I noted as soon as i fired it up. Got them straightened out and now have a whining noise which seems to be coming from the alternator. Coincidence or somehow related to what i did?
Thanks,
Rick

Mike,
If my 2000 miata intermittenly won't go into 5th gear, will any of these services fix it or have you ever heard of that? This problem just started one day.
Thanks,
Eddie

What kind of grease do you use to grease the shifter? wouldn't it contaminate the gear oil?

Fantastic tutorial. Thank you
Hello,
A sluggish six speed transmission can benifit from a fluid change to Ford " Full Syntheic Manual Transmission Fluid" Ford part number XT-M5-QS. Purchase or order from a Ford Dealer.
Good Luck, Mike.
