Cowgirl in the Sand - Summer 2010 in Renesse - Clawonick and the Cowgirls

I did this song the last time 25 years ago. It has been completely out of my mind. But then this summer the song suddenly came back to me like a deja vu, when I was in Renesse (Netherlands) with my daughters and theirs friends and I saw them sitting in the sand on the beach. So I took my Guitar, the pictures and movie sketches from our stay in the NL and put it together to my interpretation of this great song from Neil Young.
Neil did it in A-minor, much too high for me these days. So I do it with the capo on the 3rd fret, using also the A-minor chords and more or less Neils licks on th accoustic guitar, - but singing now 9 (!) half tones deeper. I also changed some chords in the refrain. Neil, forgive me!
I found some new interludes. This and the solo on the Strat are performed with chicken picking on the right hand adding some crispy timbres to the notes. Drums, Synths, Bass and Strings are recorded and mastered with Reason, a good tool for quick and uncomplicated music creation. The Video is produced on Magix.
