  • What happens if you don't have internet......

  • @Philliesphan007 You are sort of missing the point if you want to run MICROSOFTie application then just get a fricking PC, but if you are like many of us who don't need this capability this is an alternative. Their are compatible applications from the cloud these days that makes running these applications you mentioned locally unnecessary so why have that much power on the desktop if you rarely use it. I am a computer user who predates Windows 95 so I think differently I guess.

  • 7:30 OMG, YouTubeCEPTION

  • If I were to use this os, I would feel very, VERY claustraphobic

  • Who cares how fast it loads, I mean when you know you're going to spend 8+ hours operating the thing, then 7 seconds is nothing to get excited about.

Where it does matter, is when you're so addicted to an internet "app" and think about going online when you wake up at 3am. Thinking about booting Windows can make you stay in bed.

  • @IamJasonSlone I though it was an OS?

  • OS (Open Source:)

  • @WGG25

LOL... sleep mode consume about 5 watt. So much for "pretty energy consuming". That come down to roughly 22 cents a month, depending on your local electricity rate.

  • @WGG25 O no!!! all it's powering is the RAM it's not "pretty energy consuming" at all, and if you want to be this anal about it.. Hibernate = no power and still faster than Chrome OS.

  • @sunil237 in sleep-mode your computer is still on, which is pretty energy consuming :)
