The Wedding Present - Blue Eyes - Live in Tokyo, superdeluxe, 14 March 2009

For the first time since 1993, The Wedding Present made its way to Japan with a mini-tour - 5 gigs altogether, in Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo. This video shows the song "Blue Eyes", which must be from around 1992. The club "superdeluxe" is a small but superb club in Roppongi/Tokyo, and I guess there were around 150 or so fans. Support act here was Shonen Knife 少年ナイフ, a Japanese girl funk punk band, which is around since the early 90ies. They got lots of credits at that time from Nirvana, Sonic Youth and the like and they are still fun (browse my videos on You Tube - you will find a Shonen Knife clip from the very same concert)
