An eight part tutorial that explains the step-by-step process of how to Export a weapon from 3ds Max, Import the weapon into the UDK engine, and then Implement the weapon into the Unreal 3 game. This research project/tutorial was created by: James Beegle, Jared Merback, and Benjamin Pope. Enjoy!

  • how the crap do you make a .tga file i cant figure it out for my life you should have gone over it better please pm me with an answer

  • @inzaya thanks. its unwrapping that's tricky :)

  • @steve5432100 If you have a mesh, you have to unwrap it. Take the unwrap in a drawing program (photoshop ect) and make the texture, then save the target as a targa. and you will get a tga file

  • A question related to previous posts: if I have a textured model in 3DSMax, how do I create the tga file? It seems like this step has been missed?

    Still, thanks for the tut's.

  • @frogpker but i can't find any file in format .jpg !
