Reggae Rajahs mission is to not only promote reggae music in India but to bring the best talent from across the globe to our shores. This month Reggae Rajahs proudly present Newtown Sound from New Zealand along side Mandeep Sethi from San Fransisco !

Newtown Soundsystem is a crucial player in the New Zealand Reggae, Dancehall and Hip-Hop scene since 2005. Anand aka Art Official a founding member is an experienced DJ, musician, producer, promoter and interviewer who also runs a website called Niceup.org.nz

Mandeep Sethi Representing San Francisco Universal Zulu Nation as well as the global Hip-Hop scene, Mandeep Sethi is a young yet seasoned emcee/DJ from that has shown and proven his ability to rhyme and freestyle with the best. As a member of Zulu Nation, Mandeep was raised by the 5 elements of hip-hop: emceeing, djing, breakdancing, graffiti, and KNOWLEDGE. For Sethi, the microphone represents a catalyst of change, rhyming about social consciousness as well as cultural awarenesss while remaining true to the undefinable essence of hip hop's versatility.

Mandeep's primary focus is to educate the youth about the circumstances in which we are living in and resonate ancient culture within them, revealing the gods in all of us. From rhyming to djing, music serves as the language translating beats and words into scripts and hymns. The music speaks for itself.

REGGAE RAJAHS are India's first reggae sound system. The trio composed of Diggy Dang, Mr. Herbalist and DJ MoCity (Iraq's first soundboy) are reggae entertainers and promoters based out of New Delhi.

Coming together for their love of reggae music in early 2009, the Rajahs started playing a mix of roots reggae, lovers rock, ska and dancehall at venues across New Delhi. By the summer of 2010, with a firm fan base established in their hometown, the Rajahs invaded major cities across the country - Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai - as well as the Andes Mountains in Peru. By the end of the year the Rajahs hosted their 2nd Annual Xmas Jamdown featuring local and international artists across 2 venues, and participated in India's largest electronic music festival Sunburn 2010 in Goa.
