Time to highlight the man that's been hyped over the last few days. The Amazing Red has been a part of the wrestling world for the last eleven years. He would receive his training from former ECW champion Mikey Whipwreck. He would debut in 2000, taking the NY Indy scene by storm. In 2001, he and cousin Joel Maximo received an invitation to compete in CZW, debuting against the Briscoe Brothers. The match would receive a standing ovation, which was special given that the crowds in New Jersey at the time were pretty fickle at times. Red would return two months later, alongside Joel and the debuting Jose. The three would be placed in a three way dance against one another, again wowing the audience. They would return once again a month later, first appearing as a trio a week before the Best of the Best event. Only Red advanced through the first round of the tournament. The next month, at the first TV taping, the trio faced Divine Storm and Brian XL in a spectacular match that solidified the spot for all six men in the company. The next night, Red would defeat Brian XL in singles competition. The six men would rematch the following month, with Red scoring the pinfall after landing the first InfraRed in CZW history. Trouble would brew, however, as Red and the SAT left CZW for a few months, returning one last time for Cage of Death III in another amazing six man match. Red would then head to ROH, competing in the first official match of the company, as he defeated Jay Briscoe. He would form a short lived team with Brian XL, which ended with XL forming the first incarnation of Special K. Red would advance to the finals of the Road to the Title, defeated by Low Ki in the final match to determine the fourth man in the title crowning match. Around this time, Red would also compete for TNA alongside his cousins. He would receive a shot at AJ Styles and the X Division Title, losing in spectacular fashion. The new year brought Red a new opportunity, as he replaced Paul London as AJ Styles' partner, and the two would win the ROH World Tag Team Titles. A week later, the two would defend the belts against the Briscoes, in the first of three spectacular title matches between the two teams. However, trouble soon reared its head, as the high flying style had begun taking its toll on Red's knees, and in September of that year, Red would go under the knife for the first time, missing six months of action. Upon his return, he wrestled one match with ROH, and left for TNA full time. He would also venture out west to Midwest Pro Wrestling where he faced "Kid Krazy" Brandon Bonham for the MPW Cruiserweight Title in a great match. He would also return to CZW for one match. However, soon after, Red would disappear again, and rumors of retirement ran rapid. Three years later, Red would again return, this time seemingly healed. He would join TNA again, and this time, he captured the belt that had eluded him some time ago: The X Division Title, defeating Samoa Joe. Red's style is centered around aerial attacks, given his rather small stature. However, he can still muscle up his opposition in creative ways, such as with the Red Eye, or Brain Damage. The Red Alert(or Red Eye in TNA) is often used to set opponents up for more punishment, occasionally the Red Star Press. The Code Red has won many a match for Red, and the InfraRed is one of the most spectacular aerial moves you'll ever see.

  • Interestingly missing 718. Any reason for that?

Great video though. been looking for a good Red top ten on youtube. kinda hard to find.

  • No usable footage.

  • Nice Top Ten. I thought that you already made a Top Ten for Amazing Red. However good video. Didn't know that he actually use the Phoenix Splash. Does he use it only rarely or often?

  • For the most part, it was Red's aerial finisher before the InfraRed came along.

  • snt the Infra Red basically the same move as the Spiral Tap, only difference is that he jumps off facing away from the opponent? I could be wrongwith this, but Id like to take the opportunity anyway to finally say THANK YOU, SD. Been watching your vids for years now, they never fail to amaze me :)

  • Both moves are variations of the Sky Twister Press. Red's is closer to the original form of the move, while AJ's starts with him facing the ring.

  • @n3wvagabond they'd most likely make him a Jobber since they only focus all their attention on John Cena & Randy Orton

  • Does he have a chance in being in wwe? He does deserve more exposure.

  • i like that Brain Damage move

  • 2:13 Infrared = My most favorite Top Rope finisher, My second being the Swanton Bomb

  • @TheOnlyCobraman well he's done punk, and i don't think ryder was big enough in the indies to do one on

  • @MikeDelcanho Cm Punk was in the indys and I think Zack Ryder was to

  • @TheOnlyCobraman he only does indies/Puro, he doesn't do WWE

  • I miss Red before he blew his knee up.

  • Finally gone from tna/impact wresting.
