The lyrics to "In The Bleak Mid-Winter" were written as a poem by Christina Rossetti before 1872 but were not published until after her death. Gustav Holst wrote a musical setting for this poem in 1906.
MicheMalou recorded their version for their album entitled "Snow On Snow" in 2004. They actually took the title from the lyrics which are as follows:
"In the bleak midwinter
Frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow,
Snow on snow,
In the bleak midwinter,
Long ago."
Michele Cook and Marie-Louise Norton played the Harps and Colin Norton played Electric guitar and Bass guitar.
The backdrop for this video was provided by Swiss Photographer, Eugen Kotoun.
