Of course its different than the Nuclear option, thats why these democrats are choosing it. When they lose power this November they are going to want the filibuster as an option for themselves. Reconciliation is in "effect" the same thing as the nuclear option. You break rules! Neither side should be doing that. DON'T tread on my Democracy Obama!

Reconciliation is how they got COBRA passed as it's in the acronym. Back In '05 I was still with the GOP, although not with the conservatives, I bought the lien about the President deserving the right to get a up or down vote. He just won re-election and I believe he deserved that courtesy. However, it is now 2010 and they want to call it the nuclear option, when the terms aren't even the same. And now they also are invoking filibusters. or threats of filibusters, at record pace. What a joke.

Thank you! I was just about to comment on that, but you beat me to the punch. And what the maker of this video fails to include is the scores of Republicans complaining about minority stall tactics that deprived the President of getting a simple up or down vote. I remember this because I was a Republican at the time. Truth be told, both sides are being hypocritical with this, but it this isn't like Obama is steam rolling this past us. If that were the case we'd have this back in August.
