You can probably blame the Olympics for this. From what I've been told, the Olympics didn't like that Judo and wrestling looked too similar, so in an effort to distinguish the two, Judo changed some of there competition rules.

  • It annoys me that this throw has been banned. Judo is a sport but it is also supposed to be a martial art I believe one of the motivations of the founder was that he was not able to defend him self the way he wanted to. The new generation of judoka will not know how to defend against the most common take down a untrained attacker(most common type of attacker) will try to pull off.

  • Freestyle wrestling - double leg take down. Zeo.

  • xD n vale mais

  • Judo has alot of awesome throws :)

  • St George is the English Saint too, and Milan Italy's saint.

  • That is an English flag.

  • how are you going to get past his grips, should be easy for the lad to stiffarm you.

  • morote gari is now effectively banned from judo competition until at least 2012 Dec! Source: International Judo Federation "New rules for the period from 1/01/2010 to 31/12/2012" I think it's outrageous.

  • nice i see a georgian flag are u guys georgian? i am
