This house built in 1899, had just a few owners. One specific owner resided there until her death with no plumbing, no city water; in fact the old outhouse is still there, though a recent owner did bring the electrical and plumbing up to date. Even though the home was deteriorating rapidly, the elderly woman refused to move, she was so attached to this house. It sat vacant and neglected after her death for many years, the weeds and saplings eventually shielding it from public view. It was bought several years ago and lovingly restored. He told me the old place was haunted. (He and his family do NOT live there anymore.) His workers had heard a woman singing, some caught glimpses of an apparition coming down the stairs. One tried to spend the entire night in the house, and simply couldn't.
On this day we checked the old house out, a quick storm delayed our arrival, knocked out the power, produced flash flooding, so we didn't get to stay very long before it became too dark and noisey to stay there.
I did smell and very strong, sweet aroma in one bedroom, just as fresh as if someone had sprayed perfume that very minute. A table lamp upstairs did resonate with vibration, but again, we had clashes of thunder, so that was easily explained. The jewels on the chandalier upstairs quivered from the storm. But that is all we saw. Still, I think it is a great house. Though our trip was cut short, I almost feel that there could be a residual haunting in this home. After all, a century old house has to have a lot of stories to tell.

I thought I heard humming in the background a few times. Pretty cool.

@OmegaWolf747 I actually thought that I heard distant humming but never could extract it from the clip to verify.
This house has been for sale twice in the past four years and lingers on the market. It makes us wonder why no one stays.
